Ananyaa Joy Nair

I'm Ananyaa, a sophomore at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering in Arizona State University. I spent most of my childhood living between different parts of Asia and the United States. I was born in a beautiful city called Trivandrum in Kerala, India. In the U.S., I call Cincinnati and Boston home.

Throughout high school, I spent a lot of time engaging in informal teaching through part-time jobs and volunteering at organizations like the Museum of Science in Boston and schoolhouse.world. In particular, I have done most work in the area of STEM. However, as a passionate writer, I am keen on developing my teaching skills in this area. For this reason, I have taken on the role of a Writing Mentor at the Writers' Studio at ASU. In this role, I work with college students taking introductory English courses to improve their writing and communication skills.

This portfolio is a space for me to share my teaching journey's many aspects while showcasing how I have evolved over time as a teacher. I hope that my growth as a writer and teacher will help me develop myself professionally and academically.
